A message from Nathan Burgers, A.T. Kearney Benelux unit head

A.T. Kearney is a truly global firm and we ensure that we work as one firm to serve our (often international) clients consistently around the globe.  Yet, consulting is a peoples business and each office has its own unique characteristics. In Amsterdam, in line with local culture, the office atmosphere is quite relaxed. Consultants play table soccer at daytime and we even have a bar in the middle of the office. 

Our style is informal. In internal meetings everybody’s opinion counts, whether you are  a partner or a business analyst. We openly exchange ideas and discuss the content of our projects.  Obviously there is hierarchy in our system and everybody is very much aware of the role he/she is playing.  But do not misinterpret our working style. Everybody is working with a high level of dedication and professionalism to meet (and exceed) our clients requirements.

The atmosphere in our office and within our local team is an important part of our success. Consultants tend to work long hours and there is always delivery pressure. Team spirit, collaboration and mutual trust are important conditions to perform well.

Outside work there are quite some local social activities organized. The Amsterdam office has a running team and  a cycling team. Every year the consultants organize their own ski-trip, open for everybody to participate. Every month we have drinks at the Friday in the Office, and our annual party is a long-standing tradition where we find a nice location to have dinner and party all night.
