Our application process

Our selection process starts with CV selection and is followed by three rounds of interviews. It is more or less the same for all profiles. However, if you are more experienced, your interviewers will be more senior as well.

CV selection
At A.T. Kearney, we strive to hire smart people with well rounded characters – people with the capability to get things done. CV selection is therefore based on several criteria: excellent past performance (high school and university grades), broad overall development, international experience and motivation.

The first and second rounds of interviews
The first and second rounds of interviews are held twice a month on Fridays. Both rounds consist of two interviews in which we will:

• Evaluate your emotional intelligence and fit with A.T. Kearney
• Ask you to complete a small case study (your performance in this case study will reveal your communication skills, problem-solving ability, commitment and fit with A.T. Kearney)
• Test your ability to solve a typical consulting problem within a short, limited, time frame
• Assess your overall fit with A.T. Kearney based on personal qualifications, consulting affinity, communication skills and potential client impact

After the interviews, consultants will jointly assess the applicant's skills and will provide immediate feedback.

The third interview round
The third interview round takes place within a few weeks of the second, and consists of a final interview with our Managing Director.

Offer
The outcome of this final interview will determine whether or not you receive an offer. If we do decide to send you an offer, we will also assign you a sponsor. Your sponsor will be your point of contact for as long as the offer is pending.

Once you decide to accept the offer, you will be provided with the names of three potential mentors, some of which you will probably have met during the recruiting process. You will then have one month to decide which of them you would like as your mentor. During this period, your sponsor will act as your temporary mentor.
